Description
Mapei Ultrabond ECO 995 is a premium moisture-control, sound-reduction and wood-flooring adhesive. It is MAPEI’s premium, 100%-solids, one-component, moisture-curing urethane adhesive for all types of wood flooring and bamboo. Ultrabond ECO 995 can be used in a single-coat application method that provides a superior bond with moisture vapor emission control on concrete slabs. It also provides sound-reduction properties, making it suitable for use in multi-unit housing projects.
Suitable Substrates: Concrete at least 14 days old, installed per ASTM F710 guidelines; cement terrazzo; exterior-grade plywood and other approved wood substrates per wood-flooring manufacturer recommendations (note: moisture-barrier properties do not apply over wood underlayments — install using the Traditional Installation Method); existing ceramic tile as long as glazed surfaces are abraded; cement-based self-leveling underlayments and patching compounds; MAPEI moisture barriers; primed gypsum underlayments meeting ASTM F2419 compressive strength requirements (note: moisture-barrier properties do not apply over gypsum underlayments — install using the Traditional Installation Method); and properly installed radiant-heating systems (note: moisture-barrier properties do not apply over radiant-heat systems).
- All-in-One System: Moisture barrier, sound reduction and bonding system in a single product.
- Plywood Bonding: Approved for bonding plywood panels to concrete subfloors for nail-down or double-glue installation methods.
- 100% Solids: 100% solids formulation; moisture-cured with no solvent added.
- Durable Bond: Durable bond strength for exotic and domestic wood species.
- Lifetime Warranty: Backed by a lifetime bond performance warranty.
- Low Odor: Low-odor formula with negligible volatile organic compound (VOC) content.
- Renewable Materials: Formula based on rapidly renewable raw materials.
- Easy to Trowel: Excellent trowel-ridge holdout for proper adhesive bonding.
- Mixed Media: Can be used with ceramic tile and stone for mixed-media installations with wood flooring.
- Wide Compatibility: Approved for solid and engineered exotic and domestic wood flooring, finger block parquet, acrylic impregnated wood and laminated plank, bamboo, and reground rubber or cork underlayments.
