1. Delivery Areas and Methods
We offer various delivery options tailored to your location and order size:
- Local Delivery (Kitchener-Waterloo & Surrounding Areas): We provide specialized local delivery services for residents and contractors in our immediate neighbourhood.
- Canada-Wide Shipping: For customers outside our local zone, we partner with reliable freight carriers to ensure your products reach you across any province or territory.
In-Store Pickup: You may choose to pick up your order directly from our warehouse centre at no additional cost. Please wait for a “Ready for Pickup” notification before arriving.
2. Shipping Rates
Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight of the materials, the dimensions of the pallets, and the final destination.
- Local Flat Rate: A flat delivery fee may apply for orders within a specific radius of our Kitchener location.
- Freight Quotes: For long-distance shipping, rates will be provided at checkout or via a custom quote from our logistics team.
3. Processing and Lead Times
- In-Stock Items: Orders for stocked materials are typically processed within 2–4 business days.
- Custom/Special Orders: Lead times for custom hardwood or specialized vinyl may vary between 2–6 weeks, depending on manufacturer availability. We will provide an estimated arrival date at the time of purchase.
4. Delivery Procedure (Curbside Delivery)
Please note that due to the weight and size of flooring materials, our standard delivery is Curbside Only.
- The delivery driver will place the pallet(s) at the end of your driveway or the nearest accessible point for a heavy truck.
- Drivers are not permitted to move materials into your home, garage, or backyard due to liability and safety regulations.
- Customer Responsibility: It is the customer’s responsibility to move the materials inside. We recommend having assistance available on the scheduled delivery day.
5. Weather and Seasonal Delays
In Canada, extreme weather conditions (snowstorms, freezing rain, or flooding) can occasionally disrupt transit schedules. Petun Flooring is not responsible for delays caused by inclement weather or seasonal road restrictions. We will do our best to keep you informed of any changes to your delivery window.
6. Inspection upon Receipt
Upon delivery, you must inspect the shipment for any visible damage or missing items before signing the carrier’s Bill of Lading.
- If damage is found, please note it clearly on the delivery receipt and take photos.
Report any issues to us within 48 hours to ensure a valid claim can be processed with the carrier.
7. Undeliverable Shipments
If a delivery cannot be completed because no one was present to receive it, or if the site was inaccessible for a large truck, additional redelivery fees may apply.
