Creating Comfortable and Durable Learning Spaces with Premium Commercial Flooring
Petun Flooring recently completed a professional classroom flooring installation for a school, featuring a carefully selected combination of Beaulieu commercial glue-down carpet and Forbo Marmoleum flooring. This project is a standout example of Petun Flooring’s ability to deliver specialized commercial flooring solutions for educational environments that demand both durability and a comfortable, functional atmosphere.
Flooring in a classroom setting faces unique challenges. It must withstand constant daily foot traffic from students and staff, remain easy to clean and maintain, and contribute to a learning environment that is comfortable, quiet, and conducive to focus. For this project, two premium commercial flooring products were chosen to meet these specific requirements in different areas of the classroom.
Beaulieu commercial glue-down carpet was installed to provide warmth, comfort underfoot, and effective noise reduction throughout the carpeted areas of the classroom. In a school environment, managing sound levels is essential for maintaining a productive learning atmosphere, and commercial carpet is one of the most effective tools for achieving that. Forbo Marmoleum was selected for the designated hard floor areas due to its outstanding durability, natural composition, and ease of maintenance. Marmoleum is a trusted and widely respected flooring material in educational and institutional settings around the world, valued for its longevity, hygienic surface, and environmental credentials.
Our team carried out thorough subfloor preparation before beginning the installation, ensuring a clean and level base across all areas. Both flooring materials were then installed with precision, with careful attention given to the transitions between carpet and Marmoleum zones, edge finishing, and the overall consistency of the result throughout the entire classroom space.
The completed installation delivered a flooring solution that is practical, durable, and visually welcoming, creating an environment where both students and staff can feel comfortable and focused throughout the school day.
